"It gets me real pissed off and it makes me wanna say" things I should not and could not in a family newspaper. What's maddening is that the truth is always more entertaining and would result in higher circulations. It would yield better writing. It would perhaps even engage more readers and get them to participate in civic life. Instead, the status quo forces campaigns to play fight to fit into the snoozerama scenarios kooked up in the last place that should ever decide what's news: editorial board meetings.
